Model LS3/5a
A new addition to the range bearing the exclusive Reference Series name, Model LS3/5a was originally designed over 20 years ago by the world famous engineering department of the BBC - and it featured KEF drive units. It was initially intended only for use in a professional audio capacity as a 'near field monitor' for music programme and speech where space is limited and where high output levels are not required. However hi-fi enthusiasts have long since appreciated the unique qualities of this diminutive loudspeaker, in particular its neutral tonal balance, extended treble response and surprising bass. It's high technical specification make it an ideal partner for high quality ancillary equipment. The historical background, high design standards and use of KEF technology make the Reference Series Model LS3/5a a natural inclusion in the prestigious new Raymond Cooke Series.
