Concord IV Benefits

The addition of quality loudspeakers to an existing rack system or music centre - or even a portable radio - will dramatically improve sound quality.

As loudspeaker specialists, KEF concentrate on the design and production of high fidelity loudspeakers, and have employed the latest computer aided analysis techniques to develop Concord IV.

With and amplifier output of as little as 10 watts per channel, Concorde IV will produce more than enough volume to fill a generous sized room. With larger amplifiers, considerably louder volume levels can be achieved whilst maintaining realistic tonal quality.

Concord IV is a medium-sized (38 litres) loudspeaker system combining a 25mm soft dome tweeter with two 200mm bass units to give extended bass performance down to 40Hz.

The two identical bass units are arranged to work together over the lower part of the frequency range ensuring reduced distortion and remarkable power handling capability.

To obtain an even distribution of sound a new filter system progressively reduces the output of the lower bass unit above 200Hz. At crossover frequency only one bass unit is operating with the tweeter.

To allow the sound to reach the listener directly without troublesome reflections from walls, floor ceiling the drive units are arranged within the enclosure so that the full frequency response is enjoyed when the loudspeakers are positioned between 9” and 12” from the floor.

Optional stands, the ULS 40 and 60, allow the speaker to be conveniently and elegantly positioned.

Concord IV can be easily matched to any home decor scheme with the moulded base and top available in either brown or black. In addition, interchangeable grille sleeves are supplied in a choice of seven colours.
