Hardly surprising, when you consider the engineering involved. A full four- way, six – driver design , Model Four ~ Two combines the tonal accuracy of a fourth generation Uni-Q® twin driver array (25mm (1") ferrofluid-cooled soft dome tweeter and 160mm (6.5) mid-range cone) with two 160mm (6.5") polypropylene cone lower mid-range drivers.

Superlative bass extension is assured by two large (250mm/10") bass drivers in dual coupled cavity configuration, firing back to back in their own dedicated 95 litre plenum chamber.

But it's not only the drivers that account for the Model Four ~ Two's almost magical clarity. Attention to detail is phenomenal, even by KEF standard s . At this level, you expect oxygen - free copper (OFC) internal wiring - but in all Reference Series~Two speakers, such refinements are taken even further. We specify different gauges of OFC cable for each frequency range to ensure maximum transfer from even the most delicate of signals. Naturally, we also hand solder these cables to optimise sonic integrity. And at the rear, the heavy gold plated terminals allow for bi-wiring and bi-amping to enhance performance even further.
