The Home THX System
As KEF's flagship home theatre speaker range, the Home THX® System is hand built to Reference Series standards. With exceptionally wide-ranging dynamics, it is designed to reproduce soundtrack subtleties with total fidelity, irrespective of volume and the size of the room.
Home THX®
Dolby Pro-Logic® processes a stereo soundtrack to produce a synthesized centre channel and a mono surround signal. Home THX is based on the same
system, but applies a set of performance standards, developed by Lucasfilm, to the equipment involved. THX demands more diffuse surround speakers and identical left, right and centre speakers whose output is channelled into a wide horizontal beam right across the listening area - for the viewer, the result is astonishing.
To carry the THX logo, every item must be approved by George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch test facility. The KEF Home THX System passed easily - after all, we've been making loudspeakers to 0.5dB tolerance for year.
