As the technology testbed for the new Reference series, Dr. Andrew Watson and the Reference design team set out to build the most natural sounding loudspeakers possible. The result was the giant ‘Austin’ concept, with new computer-optimised fourth-order crossovers, reprofiled waveguide and the radical new two-piece compound tweeter dome that reproduces higher frequencies with such clarity. Awesome is the only word to describe how they sound.
